Administrators Erroneous Posted December 8 Administrators Share Posted December 8 Japanese games uses the X and O buttons as no and yes. But in America games typically have this reversed. So many of you who are coming off playing .hack//IMOQ and jumping into .hack//fragment afterwards might be getting confused or irritated the buttons are swapped. When playing emulators you can change this with the controller mapping yourself. But what if you don't want ALL your games having X and O swapped, only just when you play .hack//fragment? Well you can by setting up controller "profiles". These profiles can be made in addition to your default profile, and you can assign certain games to certain profiles. From the controller menu above, you can choose which controller port on the left, and assign your keys on the right or even auto-map the keys to quickly map all the buttons. This is already done by default and the profile at the bottom left default name is called "shared". If you click on +New Profile next to it and remap the controller the same but this time swapping X and O, then giving it a new name like "fragment" for your profile and save. From the game menu, if you right click .hack//fragment and go to Properties, you can assign certain settings for this game only. Settings like title, sorting title, English title, path where the game rom is stored, the game serial number, the game CRC, the game type, the game region, compatibility, and most importantly "input profile". By default every game is assigned "shared" as it's input profile. But if you did the step above you will now have a second option you can click on from the drop menu, "fragment". Hit save at the bottom and from now on ONLY when you play .hack//fragment, it will have the X and O swapped to the NTSC-U/C versions of .hack//IMOQ.
